Getting off the pill? A little scared of post pill symptoms ? Start off by reading @drjolenebrighten ’s book😍🤗🥰👏 Not sponsored

Been loving this read so far as it was highly recommended left right and centre haha and I’m learning so much. As promised I’ll be sharing what I ’m learning bit by bit so it’s not overwhelming!

I’m waiting for my stool test results to come (will arrive within a month’s time) to better understand what’s going on. You need a healthy gut to remove excess estrogen and other waste from the body. If your gut is out of whack, the estrogen goes back into the body longer than it should ...causing bloating, cramping, heavy periods 😩etc

So getting your gut healthy can help you counteract that estrogen dominance.

Other tests you can do to find the root cause of inflammation:

* DUTCH complete- on days 19-22 of your menstrual cycle
* RBC magnesium blood test (the pill often depletes us of many minerals)
* Estradiol and progesterone test on days 19-22 of your menstrual cycle
* Fatty Acids status test
* Stool culture (this is the one I’ve done, and changing my diet and supplementing while working with my naturopath)

My first period (which is actually withdrawal bleeding) after the pill lasted for 5 days. I wonder what my first natural period would be like! 😬My last natural period was years ago- painful cramps and heavy bleeding! Cross fingers this transition from the pill won’t be too much of a challenge!

Will keep you guys posted on other things I learn!
